Founded in 1908, General Machinery Company is one of the oldest industrial distributors in the United States — and after more than 115 years, we're still growing. From our Birmingham headquarters and branch locations in Mobile, Madison, and Montgomery, we serve end-users and OEMs across Alabama, northwest Florida, and eastern Mississippi with five divisions: air products, electrical/automation, lighting, pumps, and service. We carry and service every product we sell, with a full in-house shop and factory-trained service fleet available around the clock. In 2024, General Machinery joined Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE), giving our team the resources and reach of a top-50 national industrial distributor while preserving the deep customer relationships and commitment to service that have defined us for over a century. Our Mobile team is a key part of that growth — and we're investing in the people who make it happen. General Machinery and MCE are proud Equal Opportunity Employers. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
