About The Position

Aegis Worldwide Applications Engineer $95,000-115,000 Position Summary: Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in the Maineville, OH area who is seeking a highly skilled applications engineer who will be creating programs and or modifying existing programs as needed to establish setup processes for the CNC departments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing new programs for CNC machinery using Siemens NX

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the conceptual development and detailed design of complex work holding fixtures and gauges.
• Collaborate with tooling suppliers to assess and select optimal cutting tool technologies for machining high-temperature superalloys used in the gas turbine industry.
• Create and refine prototypes while testing new programs and methods in a hands-on shop environment, incorporating feedback from floor personnel to drive improvements.
• Interpret and apply engineering drawings and specifications to plan setups and operations that meet production and manufacturing requirements
• Establish best-practice machining processes and select appropriate tooling to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient output
• Develop toolpaths using CAD/CAM software and choose suitable cutting tools to generate programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling, turning, and grinding operations
• Validate and simulate toolpaths using Vericut software to ensure accuracy and avoid errors
• Prepare detailed setup instructions and tooling lists for machinists
