About The Position
The Application Architect II will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape of our organization, ensuring the development and implementation of cutting-edge application architectures. The Application Architect II will provide technical leadership, guide development teams, and contribute to the strategic direction of our IT solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years related experience in an Application Architect or similar leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of application development life cycle, software design principles, and architectural patterns.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable, distributed, and high-performance applications.
- Experience with cloud-based application architectures.
- Knowledge of and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail).
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- 5 plus years of experience in a similar role in a Healthcare setting with proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
- Relevant certifications in application architecture, enterprise architecture, or cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and design of scalable and future-proof application architectures.
- Collaborate with leadership to align technology strategies with organizational goals.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and open-source solutions for adoption.
- Oversee the seamless integration of new technologies into existing application ecosystems.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams, guiding them in architectural best practices.
- Mentor and develop technical talent within the organization.
- Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges related to application architecture.
- Provide expertise in troubleshooting issues and optimizing system performance.
- Define and enforce coding standards, architectural principles, and best practices.
- Adhere to governance processes to ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and align technology solutions.
- Translate business needs into effective and scalable technical solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, advocating for the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
- Establish and implement strategies for enhancing the efficiency, security, and reliability of application architectures.
- Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
