About The Position

The Applications and Support Engineer is the technical interface between Acculogic and the customers for its flying probe, in-circuit and boundary scan test equipment. Based in the Acculogic facility in Lake Forest, CA, and working with the business development and technical support teams you will be the technical lead providing both pre-sales and post-sales support. Candidates with prior experience with automated test equipment (ATE) for the electronics industry are strongly preferred. About the Company Acculogic, a division of inTEST EMS, designs, manufactures, and markets a broad range of systems and instruments for testing electronic devices, circuit boards and systems. We offer short turn-around time, high fault-coverage, and fast cycle-time solutions. Our services and products are used to validate designs, ensure integrity of prototypes, improve production processes and yields, and deliver defect-free final products. We are in the business of “Test Engineering”, and we help our customers to reduce risks and increase profits.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or similar in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field of study.
  • An understanding of electronics and electro-mechanical principles. Including component theory and a well-developed ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Self driven, quick and eager learner, able to exhibit professional bearing under pressure.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written as well as presenting to technical working groups and seminars.
  • Team player with the ability to contribute to a matrix organization while maintaining the ability to act and think independently in a fast-paced environment when needed.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with prior experience with automated test equipment (ATE) for the electronics industry are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-sales: customer demonstrations, evaluations and benchmarks, including development of test applications.
  • Presenting Acculogic tools at trade shows and seminars to promote the technology and advance Acculogic’s customer market awareness.
  • Post-sales: Phone support, equipment installation, preventative maintenance, fault identification and repair, installation of upgrades, delivery of training.
  • Developing test projects for circuit board testing
  • Participating in Acculogic’s products and test procedures further development
  • Writing technical documentation, application notes and training materials
  • Extensive local, national and international travel will be required.
