The City of Lee’s Summit is seeking applicants to fill the position of Applications Administrator in the Information Technology Department. This position provides technical and functional support to City employees in the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of various Department and Enterprise Business Systems used within the organization. Ensures smooth operation of these applications, troubleshoot any issues that arise and provide technical assistance to end-users. Collaborates with other IT teams to integrate applications and implement upgrades or enhancements. Responsible for overall management, control and direction of assigned IT projects and applications. Pay range: $65,618 - $82,021

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field
  • Five years IT experience as an Applications Administrator or similar role with the development, production, or utilization of information technology and off the shelf business systems
  • Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator's license and acceptable driving record required
  • Strong knowledge of software application installation, configuration and maintenance
  • Experience with application integration, relational databases, data migration and report writing required
  • Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, data backup/recovery procedures, web site operations and design, including web servers and html
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting application issues and providing technical support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and other IT teams in the delivery of services

Nice To Haves

  • The ideal candidate would have experience with a Customer Information System in a Utility Service environment.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence Reporting is highly desirable.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
