About The Position

The Applications Administrator will focus on the support of hotel operational systems including OPERA, MICROS, Toast, Stay n Touch, ProfitSword, and Hotel Effectiveness. This role supports property teams through daily troubleshooting, project coordination, new property onboardings, and system rollouts. The Applications Administrator strengthens system stability and ensures that hotel teams can use these tools effectively to drive guest service, productivity, and financial performance. This is a remote position.

Requirements

  • Strong practical understanding of PMS and POS workflows and how system configuration affects guest service and hotel operations.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters in plain terms to nontechnical users.
  • Proficiency with remote support tools, ticketing platforms, and standard troubleshooting processes.
  • Excellent organization and follow-through, especially when coordinating multiple system projects or property needs.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset focused on long term fixes, not workarounds.
  • Steady adherence to compliance standards, data security practices, and operational requirements.
  • One to three years of experience in PMS or POS support, hotel operations, application support, or technical project coordination.
  • Experience working with OPERA, MICROS, Toast, Stay n Touch, ProfitSword, and Hotel Effectiveness strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in a high volume or fast paced hospitality environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for issues related to OPERA, MICROS, Toast, Stay n Touch, ProfitSword, Hotel Effectiveness, and other hotel operational applications outside the scope of property level managed IT services.
  • Troubleshoot access problems, configuration issues, transaction errors, interface interruptions, and general application performance concerns. Escalate to system vendors when required.
  • Coordinate and support system upgrades, new property onboardings, migrations, brand driven changes, and cross property projects related to PMS, POS, and performance systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configuration updates, project notes, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system standards.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining training materials, quick reference guides, and user documentation for property teams.
  • Join virtual meetings with property teams and vendors to identify issues, gather requirements, monitor project progress, and support technical workflows.
  • Track recurring trends and provide recommendations that improve system reliability, configuration consistency, and operational efficiency across the portfolio.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management that support the performance and stability of property applications.
