About The Position

Oversees the design and maintenance of various agency utilized applications/solutions using the available resources. Analyze functional requirements and translate them into best fit solutions. Ensures all projects are completed by subordinates and monitors transitions between projects and application support. Provide technical support to LDH staff involving agency utilized applications by diagnosing technical problems and identifying appropriate solutions through research. Triages, prioritizes, and fulfills maintenance and support requests submitted through ticket system. Ensures staff is also taking appropriate action Researches and implements agency utilized applications best practices Develop, produce, distribute, and update training materials in the form of guides, videos, PowerPoint presentations, etc. to LDH employees as it pertains to LDH SharePoint sites. Provides training of agency utilized applications to staff as necessary. Take lead role with pressing unit matters and work with unit supervisor to address properly. Take lead role in training new unit employees. Work with unit supervisor and Project Management to develop and implement testing plans for new software development. Oversees SharePoint site creation, maintenance, and custom development for all LDH users. Develop long and short range plans for staff organization, training, and equipment needs. Conduct an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate, setting future goals and strategies. Conducts recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and professional development of assigned staff. Other tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Associates degree with 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience working with agency utilized applications or solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience with content development or application solution development.
  • Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience working with agency utilized applications or solutions.
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience with content development or application solution development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing projects, assignments and competing priorities.
  • Minimum 1 year professional supervisory experience.
  • MOUS, ACE, MCT or other relevant industry certifications.
