Application Support (C#, SQL) & Retail Technology Specialist Support the Technology Behind an Exceptional Retail Experience We are seeking a technically skilled, service-oriented professional to support the systems that power our retail operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our stores operate smoothly each day — from maintaining our core business application to troubleshooting in-store technology that supports sales associates and customer service teams. This position bridges application support and hands-on retail technology assistance. The right candidate enjoys being close to the business, solving practical problems for store teams, and ensuring technology enhances — never disrupts — the customer experience. Weekly hours range from 24-30 hours. Potential for full time position over time. What You’ll Do Keep Retail Systems Running Smoothly Support and maintain our N-Tier C# (primarily) and VB.NET retail application Troubleshoot system issues, performance concerns, and data discrepancies Use SQL Server to research, diagnose, and resolve data-related issues Perform minor system enhancements and maintenance updates Help ensure system stability and uptime for daily store operations (including occasional scheduled weekend maintenance) Partner with our modernization team to share real-world store insights and operational knowledge Support Store Teams Directly Provide first-line technical support to retail associates and store leadership Troubleshoot issues involving: Excel spreadsheets and reporting Receipt and label printers Barcode scanners Laptops and workstations POS systems and network-connected devices Coordinate with IT partners and vendors when escalation is needed Document recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement What You Bring Technical Foundation Experience with C# and/or VB.NET Experience supporting N-Tier applications SQL Server proficiency (queries, stored procedures, troubleshooting) Windows workstation and desktop support experience Strong Excel skills (formulas, data cleanup, pivot tables) Basic networking knowledge (IP, Wi-Fi, VPN, peripherals) Experience with ticketing or support documentation systems Helpful Experience Retail or POS system support Active Directory user/device management PowerShell or light automation scripting Exposure to modern .NET technologies or system modernization efforts Reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or advanced Excel Who You Are Service-oriented and comfortable working directly with retail teams Clear communicator who can translate technical issues into business impact Calm and solutions-focused in a fast-paced store environment Detail-oriented and organized Collaborative with both store personnel and software developers Comfortable using modern tools, including AI-assisted development or research tools, with accountability for accuracy Why This Role Matters Retail runs on reliability.
