About The Position

The Application Support Analyst provides support for key information systems, including the daily management of related applications. The Analyst will support and provide oversight for system changes, including user requests, software updates and new system functionality. The Analyst is responsible for developing, monitoring, and generating reports. The Application Support Analyst may be required to conduct research for any reported system issues, evaluate and recommend specific software and system, and provide coordination for incident management and resolution processes. Throughout the execution of these responsibilities the Application Support Analyst is expected to uphold the business standards and core mission of the organization. It may be necessary for the Analyst to act as a liaison for internal customers, external business partners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college - Required
  • Proficient in MS office.
  • Ability to contribute to projects and adhere to Project Management required processes and standards within the organization.
  • Capable of working independently and delivering appropriate and timely feedback to Senior team members and management as required.
  • Approximate percent of time required to travel: 10

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of healthcare experience with a minimum of two (2) years of of software application support - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations to determine impact of proposed software changes, enhancements, upgrades, replacements or new automation initiatives.
  • Develop and direct software system testing and training procedures, documentation, timelines and contingency planning.
  • Consult with customer concerning maintenance of software system policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for improving operation effectiveness through analysis of information systems data.
  • Develop Ad Hoc reports from various systems.
  • Utilize the Information Technology work order tracking system as required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as required to perform job functions related to troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades to systems.
  • Coordinates maintenance activity involving other affected systems with IT staff and affected areas.
  • Implements systems within the guidelines established by IT Director.
  • Routinely provides project updates to appropriate individual.
  • Builds and tests files of new systems prior to rolling files into the live environment.
  • Follow application change management processes.
  • Understands and performs maintenance on all system table and control files.
  • Ensures that all affected departments are notified of all changes. Documents all system changes.
  • Responsible for testing and writing scripts for assigned systems to ensure system and data integrity.
  • Responsible for monitoring accuracy of computer output and data integrity for assigned systems.
  • Consults with department directors to make recommendations/implement changes that maximize the functionality of assigned systems. Makes recommendations to IT Director.
  • Works closely with department directors and/or supervisors to ensure development and implementation of department down time procedures.
  • Mentors and trains ancillary staff on system changes, in order to enhance their functionality of systems.
  • Participates in system planning activities as they related to the system upgrades.
  • Provides support to systems users, answers and resolves problems related to systems functionality.
  • Regularly participates in systems team leads meetings and reports deficiencies and/or suggests changes.
  • Performs analysis, QA testing, validation and deployment of applicable applications.
  • Monitors system performance, and reports relevant anomalies, issues or opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations as needed.
  • Closely monitors event logs for diagnostic purposes.
  • Interact with internal customers to understand their needs for system functionality.
  • Configures, upgrades, and maintains systems in accordance with Trios Health’s enterprise business strategies and users’ needs.
  • Acts as an internal resource for all personnel regarding system capabilities and limitations.
  • Documents functional and technical requirements, maps process flows, documents test plans, and creates user manuals as necessary.
  • Provide On-Call support accordingly.
  • Performs technical, service, and administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Maintains membership on and communication with committees, work groups, or task forces as necessary to facilitate ongoing information system development, deployments and updates.
  • Actively maintaining a functional knowledge of technology developments within the healthcare industry.
  • Recommends and drafts systems policies and procedures.
  • Attends and participates in all vendor training activities for systems.
  • Provides helpdesk assistance and support for systems users.
  • Provide not only superior technical analysis work on all existing applications but also on new projects and applications that fall into your scope.
  • Participate in analysis and troubleshooting of problems within business processes in order to define functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • Maintain active task lists by application.
  • Work with business partners to maintain and enhance our efforts to provide the very best IT experience possible.
  • Identify and escalate any issues that arise.
  • Communicate technical issues and project assignment statuses clearly.
  • Ability to perform as a team player with the motivation to take on multiple challenging tasks.
  • Ability to gain and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the supported healthcare systems, including the ability to determine procedural issues versus hardware or application deficiencies.
  • Ability to provide a solution by applying knowledge as necessary.
  • Tracks and provides corrective action by effectively coordinating reported deficiencies or errors that occur in the software applications.
  • Identifies inconsistencies and abnormal system errors, working directly with the affected software vendor to address software and application deficiencies.
  • Effectively communicates with directors or supervisors of affected systems and reports problems or concerns while maintaining a positive interaction of information sharing.
  • Communicates on status and completion of service orders in a timely manner.
  • Provides front line support during go-live or upgrades/updates of supported systems.
  • Strives to maximize functionality for workflow efficiency by promoting the supported systems use. Encourages on-line help tools use or IT related knowledge base articles.
