CBT’s Services & Solutions business provides solutions to upgrade end of life or obsolete technology such as PLC’s, HMI’s, drives or motion controllers, for our customers. An Application Specialist leverages their knowledge and experience with legacy hardware to convert the legacy systems to current Rockwell Automation platforms. An Application Specialist can be involved in a variety of activities to support our customers. Following are the types of activities an Application Specialist could be involved in: Implement automation solutions based on Rockwell Automation’s platform Support customers as an embedded engineer acting as an extension of their maintenance or engineering department Development of controls design packages Technology Migrations Perform AC and DC Drive start-ups Develop & deliver training curriculum to our customers Perform plant floor audits

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Five + years of experience in delivering automation solutions to customers - Rockwell Automation controllers, HMI’s & drives at a minimum. Motion Control, Networking, FTOptix, AssetCentre or Safety preferred
• Proficient with C# programming
• A strong technical background is required
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in all common Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality automation solutions to our customers
• Maintain a high level of industry and application knowledge to provide credibility to customers
• Maintain a high level of knowledge on automation technology
• Work closely with the sales team/Automation Specialist on the pursuit of an opportunity
• Communicate project status to the customer, sales team, and SBU Manager for all activities engaged in
