As an Application Production Support Engineer (Java and GCP) , you will make an impact by ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of critical cloud-native applications and systems. You will be a valued member of our Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with development, operations, and business stakeholders to resolve complex incidents and maintain seamless service delivery. Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future In this role, you will: Provide expert-level (L3) support for high-priority production incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation using PagerDuty to respond to critical alerts and system issues. Troubleshoot and debug Java-based microservices built with Spring Boot and exposed via REST APIs. Manage and support applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GKE and serverless environments. Maintain and support ETL workflows orchestrated by Apache Airflow and secure file transfers via IBM Sterling MFT. Implement proactive monitoring and observability using ELK stack or similar tools, and automate operational tasks using scripting and cloud-native tooling. Adhere to Change Management processes and participate in Disaster Recovery planning and testing. Work model This is an onsite position based in Irving, TX , requiring presence in the client or Cognizant office.
