About The Position

Summer 2026 Internship - May 26 - August 14 Looking for a rising senior level candidate in the Electrical Engineering degree program. This is an Intern position for a qualified individual to work in Renesas’s Hi-Rel division under a senior level Applications Engineer. The Internship project will be chosen based upon the skillset of the top candidate chosen. The three proposed HiRel Projects for the 2026 summer intern are: Competitive comparison ISL70009 & ISL70008 compared to TI part. ADC specific Work on ADC driver amplifier evaluation Assist with ADC evaluation Potentially assist with BMSIC development (learn from Dave) Reference design evaluation board of power product. Please let us know which project(s) would be best for your career path. Activities: If Competitive Comparison is selected as the project Efforts will be focused on spec comparison and lab data between the products. Good basic understanding of a key requirement of being an Application Engineer. Extensive hands-on lab experience with familiarity with digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeter, signal generators, etc. Excellent interpersonal skills are desired and must be technical and able to generate and deliver clear and concise presentations. Familiarization of the device underdevelopment. Using Soldering/Desoldering station for rework of SMD components is a plus. Activities: If ADC specific is selected as the project Efforts will be focused on ADC digital operation and Analog operation of our battery management products. Extensive hands-on lab experience with familiarity with digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeter, signal generators, etc. Excellent interpersonal skills are desired and must be technical and able to generate and deliver clear and concise presentations. Familiarization of the device underdevelopment. Using Soldering/Desoldering station for rework of SMD components is a plus. Activities: If Reference Design Evaluation Board is selected as the project Assist with the development, analysis and troubleshooting of evaluation board designs. Extensive hands-on lab experience with familiarity with digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeter, signal generators, etc. Excellent interpersonal skills are desired and must be technical and able to generate and deliver clear and concise presentations. Familiarization of the device underdevelopment. Using Soldering/Desoldering station for rework of SMD components is a plus. Deliverables: Formal presentation of the operation of the part and analysis of the device performance on the evaluation board. Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled full time in a university degree program pursing a master degree only. Must not have graduated before September 2026.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without being on any sort of Visa, including F1 and OPT
  • Rising senior Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Exposure to power management topologies is required.
  • Extensive hands-on lab experience with familiarity with digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeter, signal generators, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are desired and must be technical and able to generate and deliver clear and concise presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Florida students or residents preferred
  • Using Soldering/Desoldering station for rework of SMD components is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry is a plus.
  • Python programming skills a plus.
  • Printed Circuit Board software’s tools a plus.

Responsibilities
