About The Position

We are seeking a Summer 2026 intern for our Mainstream Portfolio team to gain hands-on experience in product line application engineering. This role will immerse you in the design and development of cutting-edge test and measurement solutions, providing a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices.
As an application engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our engineering teams and customers. You will be involved in designing, developing, and implementing electrical, hardware, and software solutions to meet specific customer needs. This position is highly technical and requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of design projects and provide technical support to customers, helping them to optimize their use of our products.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work well in a team to tackle sophisticated challenges.
• Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and complete sophisticated tasks in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with C++, Python, C#, Networking, or Software Security is ideal.
• A strong curiosity about Signal Processing and Embedded Systems is helpful.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, crafting training and training material, and creating and delivering technical presentations.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Design: Participate in the design and development of test and measurement solutions, applying electrical, hardware, and software engineering principles and methodologies.
• Technical Problem Solving: Work on resolving complex technical issues and projects, utilizing your engineering knowledge and analytical skills.
• Product Development: Assist in the development and testing of new products, including prototyping, validation, and performance analysis.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to ensure the successful implementation of design projects.
