About The Position

Develop Integrated Solution designs to support Company sales and management with solicitation of engineered integrated product solutions and pallet rack. Participate in customer site reviews and work with branch sales, national accounts sales, vendors, sales coordinators, project managers, and Sales Manager of Integrated Solutions. Review customer operations, collect information needed to develop solutions, and proposals.

Requirements

• 5-7 years related experience
• Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering)
• Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
• Extensive travel (over 20%)
• Extensive overnight stays (over 20%)
• Job requires employee to drive a lift truck
• Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business > 20% per week (more than 8 hours) and an MVR is required
• Job may require employee to drive a company vehicle; job is non-DOT regulated and an MVR is required

Nice To Haves

• Familiar with materials handling industry.
• Knowledge of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) and powered unitized conveyance.
• Good statistical and financial analytic skills.
• Experienced in drafting; specifically, AutoCAD, along with other technical and analytical applications including Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills, highly organized, a desire to learn and able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, log, and track customer integrated solutions projects.
• Collect, review, document, and assemble customer operational data and requests including but not limited to inventory flow, velocity, identification, specifications, hours of operation, operational shifts, personnel, warehouse management software, storage, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
• Review safety, performance, and industry standards of engineered products to ensure alignment with customer objectives.
• Work with Warehouse Solutions Project Designers to develop preliminary integrated solutions designs incorporating but not limited to Vertical Lift Modules, Pallet Shuttles, Powered Conveyance, Pallet Rack, and other value add products and systems.
• Define and assemble engineering preliminary calculations and vendor Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation to aid sales staff and management with solicitation of engineered product solutions and pallet rack.
• Review, verify, and approve integrated solutions project sales order submittals.
• Verify products to be implemented meet current industry safety standards and code compliance.
• Record, communicate corrections, recommendations, approvals, and procurement instructions to branch sales, sales coordinators, project managers, and sales manager of integrated solutions.
• Provide project updates, recommendations, and review workload with management.
• Work with management to research, identify, vet, and explore new engineered products, systems, and industry standards.
• Aid management with the development of sales site survey forms, proposal templates, vendor RFP forms, and product training material.
