FastTrak Application/Development Engineer Primary Function: The Application/Development Engineer focuses on development and support of our production software applications. The position may require after hours or weekend work to maintain maximum uptime. Travel up to 40% - US only. We are looking for a business minded individual to join our team. This role requires a strong background in SQL, application development and application support, attention to detail and excellent communications skills. This position will be an integral part of the team working with other application developers and application support to help design and implement new versions of our production software as well as optimize and normalize existing table data structures, stored procedures, triggers and views as well as some ASP and web development.

Requirements

• SQL, ASP.NET, Visual Studio and other programming languages.
• Ability to review code for trouble shooting.
• Microsoft SQL Server (2005+)
• Understand the business needs effectively and work with developers to design and draft modern and effective applications.
• Review performance logs to track and analyze production issues and optimize stored procedures for improved database responsiveness.
• Analytical skills and a business mind set
• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Highly driven and self-motivated to exceed expectations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
• Proficient in both oral and written communication.

• Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Responsibilities

• Designs, creates and maintains applications meeting standards of readability, performance, testability
• Modifies and, alpha tests, and implements software programming applications
• Maintain/Optimize existing code base
• Work with Application developers to help define requirements and functional specifications
• Prepares estimates for assigned projects and/or tasks
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve data issues
• Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
