About The Position

Come onboard and help us shape the future of friction material solutions. We are on the journey to develop applications for the future, and in this role you will ensure that we develop the next generation of products needed by existing and new customers who looks for the features that our powder solutions can offer. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping how our products create value for customers across the metal industry. You’ll build a deep understanding of how our materials are used in real applications and how they influence customers’ processes and end results. Your main responsibilities will include: Developing deep understanding of the way our products can be used, and their impact on the end customers processes and their end products. Translating user needs into features and product solutions. Give input to Portfolio management and Product development on future requirements within the field of responsibility. Developing understanding of products that compliment Höganäs’ products in the customer recipes. Attending seminars, exhibitions, and conferences to stay updated. Be genuinely curios about everything happening within this field. Create manuals, conduct training sessions to targeted customers and other stakeholders, and maintain technical documentation both for internal and external usage. Offering technical support and helping solve challenges within your area of expertise. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. With a small, dedicated team in the division Metal Consumables & Elements (MCE), success comes from working closely with colleagues across functions—and often across divisions—to gather insights and drive the right activities forward. Together with customers and partners you gather relevant insights and inspire relevant activities. The position can be based in either US or Sweden, where we also have production facilities. You need to be located close to one of our sites (US; Hollsopple or Sweden; Höganäs). In this role you will report to VP Operations & Technology and you will work close to all functions within MCE division. Your profile You bring at least five years of experience from an industrial goods company, including a minimum of two years working specifically within the friction area. Your educational background is in engineering or science, with a high level of general understanding of material, and profound knowledge about metals and alloys. You have experience working in assignments which involved collaborating with teams from diverse geographies and functions. You have an analytical bent of mind and love data driven problem solving. Experience with project management concepts and customer engagement would be a great advantage. Excellent written and spoken English is essential, with the ability to contribute to international teams, customer dialogues, and technically accurate reporting. You are willing to travel internationally to engage with customers and colleagues at different locations.
