The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals. AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance. About the role An application developer role in External Reporting Finance group to maintain and modernize organization's finance application portfolio. Collaborate between business and various technology teams to ensure applications align with organizational goals. Oversees the overall application health and performance. Manage and improve our finance application and continuously find ways to modernize the business processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience with enterprise-wide information technology projects and systems.
  • Good understanding of Corporate Finance Functions or Keen to learn about Corporate Finance.
  • Prior experience in a support and development role.
  • Strong analytical skills, business process re-engineering skills, and data analysis skills.
  • Proven experience as an application developer.
  • Strong knowledge on Microsoft PowerApps Toolkit.
  • Ability to work on No-Code Low Code platforms.
  • Ability to work in at least one programming language : Python, C#, .Net
  • Deep understanding of core programming principles, including design.
  • Excellent knowledge on various databases : Oracle, SQL Server, AWS RDS.
  • Excellent time management and experience working as part of a development team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Insurance Industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build solutions that addresses specific business needs in External Reporting Group.
  • Act as a production support member to manage and keep the lights on for existing Finance solutions.
  • Adhere organization information security framework to comply with security standards.
  • Remain current on technology trends to keep our application stack modern and innovative.
  • Stay on track of the application lifecycle to ensure necessary updates are completed on time
