The Application Configuration Analyst position is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension, operating remotely. This role is central to configuring application interfaces, maintaining reports, and managing vendor package applications. Key responsibilities include analyzing, designing, configuring, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and implementing changes across various custom-developed and package applications. The analyst will be expected to learn business processes, investigate and resolve production issues, develop technical designs that align with business needs and IT direction, and create clear documentation. The role also involves creating and executing comprehensive unit test plans, assisting with integration, completing system test plans, and coordinating software packaging requests for Asset Management. A willingness to learn electric utility transmission and distribution business processes, manage source code repositories, builds, and deploys is essential. Frequent interaction with business owners and stakeholders for requirements gathering and defect resolution is required, along with availability to work flexible hours to support the application portfolio. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to work independently in a virtual environment, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.
