About The Position

In this role, you will drive business growth and application development in the Consumer Electronics market, collaborating with brand owners, OEMs, and internal technical and commercial teams. You will identify high-value opportunities, create a continuous pipeline of projects, and lead applications from ideation to start-of-production. This position requires strategic market analysis, project management, and strong cross-cultural communication, with 30–40% travel, including 1–2 trips to Asia per year. The role combines business development, technical application expertise, and relationship management to deliver innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge in the dynamic Consumer Electronics sector. Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Consumer Electronics, application development, engineering plastics, and project/business development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of material performance, customer functional requirements, and CE application needs.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Market/customer orientation with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across cultures (American, European, Asian) and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic and tactical thinking, critical problem-solving, and ability to deliver results in dynamic markets.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal), with flexible working hours to coordinate across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, position, and develop high-value opportunities in the Consumer Electronics market.
  • Build and maintain a continuous pipeline of projects for sustainable and profitable growth with brand owners and OEM customers.
  • Analyze market trends, define participation plans, prioritize opportunities, and implement CE positioning strategies.
  • Lead application development projects from advanced development (ideation) through Start-of-Production, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Serve as a key interface between brand owners/OEMs and technical/commercial teams, facilitating product trials, validation, and nominations.
  • Plan, track, and manage key projects, goals, milestones, and opportunity pipelines using tools such as Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Develop and maintain market intelligence, including competitor analysis, technology trends, and future platform opportunities.
