Application Architect - OPA ProSidian requires an Application Architect for our IT Effectiveness service line with experience in the design and implementation of custom technology-enabled business solutions. The Application Architect is tasked with analysis and development of Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) Rule Bases. Areas of interest include Oracle Policy Modeling, XML, XSL and Web Services Development, DBMS Application Development, PL/SQL, Oracle Policy Automation, OPA Web Determinations engines, and OPA training. As part of the development team, the application architect will analyze and develop OPA Rule Bases for a client organization in charge of Licensing and Permitting processes.   • Analysis and development of Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) Rule Bases.
  • Analyze and develop OPA Rule Bases for a client organization in charge of Licensing and Permitting processes.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in application analysis and development in Oracle Policy Automation (OPA)
  • OPA Certified
  • Experience analyzing public sector documentation, and modeling legislation in a business rules system
  • Understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • XML, XSL and Web Services development experience
  • Full life cycle DBMS Application Development experience
  • Experience with Oracle Databases and PL/SQL
  • Familiarity with OPA training requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A willingness to travel to client locations
  • 3+ years of experience in software applicaton development
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relationship management skills (influence, negotiation, consulting, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong Leadership & Project Management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to negotiate priorities and resolve conflict.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate problem status to senior management
  • Must be able to translate plans/policies into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables

  • He/she must be able to work effectively at all levels of the organization, be results oriented, have strong analytical and decision-making abilities, and a creative problem solver.
