About The Position

This is an entry level position within the HSIR team for a self-starter with the ability to work with moderate to minimal oversight in a highly complex and dynamic work environment. Position focuses on support and optimization of mission- critical systems. As a key player, this position is instrumental in supporting the treatment technology and clinical documentation workflows for the Clements Emergency Department, including integrations with third party applications [LifeNet, XchangER, Phillips IntelliVue, ESO Trauma Registry]. The position involves enhancing patient throughput during hospital admissions and optimizing the turnaround times for diagnostic results in laboratory and imaging services. Additionally, the analyst will lead the implementation of innovative technologies aimed at improving arrest management, infection control, bedside patient communication, and critical care processes. The role will also encompass supporting the expansion of Emergency Medicine services associated with the new UT Southwestern Hospital at Clearfork in Fort Worth. This position requires certification in Health Information Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide workflow assistance, trouble-shooting and support for mission critical HSIR systems with assistance.
  • Provide on-call after-hours support.
  • Develop and maintain competency on pertinent applications and technologies within a specified timeframe.
  • Participate in system maintenance by utilizing analytical skills for issue resolution, enhancement development, project participation and version upgrades with oversight.
  • Follow change management procedure for any system changes.
  • Assist in testing of new applications and changes to existing applications ensuring integrity and quality of data while providing and/or assisting in training of system users.
  • Assist in developing appropriate process/policy documentation.
  • Manage multiple tasks/work on multiple projects simultaneously with guidance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
