About The Position

Reports to the Sr. Director of Informatics and Diversion. The Application Analyst - Buyer Informatics provides support in the maintenance of the pharmacy information system and automated dispensing systems, packaging and inventory systems, and scanning systems. Provides staff training, orientation and security control for such systems. Orders or receives and maintains adequate inventory levels of medications and supplies when required and maintains the pharmacy storerooms in a neat and organized manner that complies with all regulatory agencies. Supports purchasing operations at all campuses as needed. Manages drug recalls and oversees the disposition process for all expired or damaged pharmaceuticals. In collaboration with 340b team, develops and maintains compliant mixed use 340b processes including consignment process, borrow/loan process, direct ordering process, reverse distribution process and WAC minimization strategies. Works with the Senior Director, Diversion & Informatics to maintain compliance program, audit-controlled substance transactions, investigate discrepancies, ensure controlled substance compliance among team members, and prevent diversion. Assists in the daily activities of pharmacy function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field Required or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
  • 3 years experience in pharmacy technology and informatics, specifically as it relates to pharmacy information systems, automated dispensing, bar coding, procurement and inventory management Required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician Required
