Appliance Repair Technician $20 per hour
About The Position
Responsible for diagnosing and repairing residential home appliances including washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, and window AC units. Delivers timely, high-quality repairs while maintaining a high level of customer service. Diagnose appliance issues and install replacement parts as needed Complete repairs efficiently while meeting company quality standards Adhere to CDA procedures to minimize redo work and ensure cost-effective repairs Accurately track parts usage and return parts on time to ensure proper credits Properly account for all customer-owned and store-stock units Maintain and respect company-provided assets including tools, cell phone, and laptop
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate math skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and service instructions
- Experience using electronic repair tools and diagnostic testers
- Effective time management and ability to complete assigned tasks independently
- Willingness to continually learn new technologies and repair processes
- EPA Certification required
- Ability to lift, load, move, and transport merchandise weighing 10–80 pounds using a dolly
- Ability to stoop, bend, pull, reach, and grasp as required for the role
