About The Position

The Apple Systems Engineer plays a critical role in information technology and deployment services, serving both external and internal clients. Responsibilities include offering initial and secondary support to clients, end-users, and departments, regarding technology, as well as providing triage services for device diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Expect to work closely with the IT Operations Manager on prioritization, issue resolution, projects. Requirements

  • Technical College degree in Information Technology, end-user devices, a related field, or equivalent experience is mandatory.
  • Apple Deployment and Management certification
  • Mac Security Compliance certification
  • Apple Device Support certification
  • Possession of a Technical College degree in Information Technology or a related field is required. Additional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in providing support for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Windows end-users.
  • Hands-on experience in MDM management and client deployment, encompassing device configuration, policy management, software setup, and distribution.
  • Proven track record in assisting end-users with productivity software, email, and collaborative systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in addressing end-users' networking concerns.
  • Exceptional customer service aptitude.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying, researching, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
  • Thorough documentation of supported systems, application procedures, and processes.
  • Robust organizational and task management proficiencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Apple devices (macOS, iOS, iPadOS) using Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment (ADE), and Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms (such as JAMF, Mosyle, Intune).
  • Administer enterprise endpoints and systems: e.g. macOS, iPadOS, iOS, and Windows Server, Linux, and environments, ensuring reliable system performance and availability.
  • Manage identity and access systems such as Active Directory, Azure AD, or LDAP, including user provisioning, permissions, and security policies.
  • Implement device lifecycle management including provisioning, configuration, patching, redeployment, and secure device retirement.
  • Deploy and manage enterprise applications and software updates across endpoints using MDM, endpoint management tools, or automation scripts.
  • Monitor system health, logs, and performance using infrastructure monitoring tools and respond to alerts and service disruptions.
  • Implement security best practices including endpoint protection, encryption (e.g., FileVault), patch management, and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Manage virtualization and cloud resources (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, or Azure) including virtual machine provisioning and maintenance.
  • Document infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues across systems and networks, and provide technical support to users and IT teams.
  • All other duties as assigned
