About The Position

The Apparel/Lead Clerk is responsible for ordering, stocking merchandise, and maintaining the assigned section of the apparel department, including fixtures, displays, and signing. This position also involves training, coaching, and directing associates within the Home sections, performing production and customer service functions, and maximizing store sales and profits safely and ethically according to company policies and procedures. Smith’s Food and Drug, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, merged with The Kroger Company in 1998 and now serves customers in over 140 stores across multiple states. Responsibilities

  • Ordering, stocking merchandise and maintaining the assigned section of the apparel department
  • Maintaining fixtures, displays, and signing
  • Training, coaching and directing all associates that work within their specific area of the Home sections
  • Perform production and customer service functions
  • Maximize store sales and profits safely and ethically in accordance with company policies and procedures
