About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: According to professional standards of care, the APN Cardiology Fellow performs a variety of advanced nursing / physician assistant functions. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Requirements

Master’s degree in nursing
IL Registered Nurse License
IL Advanced Practice Nurse License
Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration
State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Doctorate in nursing (DNP)

Responsibilities

Providing high quality patient care to the patients of OSF.
Providing such professional Advanced Practice services.
Maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided to the Practice and its patients.
Maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by Provider or other support staff.
Exercising diligence in assisting the Ministry CEO in keeping costs of the Practice to a minimum while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients.
Providing a truly personalized, patient-centric experience to patients of the Practice and the OSF Hospital aligned to the patient's preferences, goals and needs.
