About The Position

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN North Shore Village- Hillsboro, OH Burlington Capital Properties, a nationally recognized property management company, is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is primarily based at North Shore Village , with occasional support at nearby communities including Quail Run Senior and Pants Factory . We are considering individuals who take pride and ownership in the work they perform and can provide friendly, quality service that our residents deserve. This position requires availability between the hours of Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM with some on-call hours. The regular schedule consists of 32 hours per week, excluding the on-call rotation, which occurs every other weekend. Actual days/hours may vary and will be determined during the interview process.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field required
  • Working knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building trades is required
  • Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
  • Must have basic understanding of the English language and be able to communicate effectively
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and/or improve the condition of homes to prepare them for new residents by providing basic home maintenance in the areas of touch up painting, dry walling, plumbing, floor coverings, electrical, carpentry work, and appliance repairs
  • Clean all common areas and walkways, and maintain overall property appearance
  • Walk the property daily to maintain "curb appeal" - trash pick-up; cutting, trimming, watering greenery and flowers; sweeping certain areas.
  • Perform all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds according to established procedures
  • Regularly communicate with supervisor as to status of service requests, make ready units, etc.
  • Complete vacant units to make ready status per established procedures.
  • Inspect all work performed by outside contractors
  • Ensure that all Federal, State and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws and Standards are followed
  • Regularly inspect laundry facilities, fitness center, common area rest rooms, etc. to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness, to include assisting with trash pick up
  • Participate in resident functions as requested by Management
  • Maintenance team members may be required to be “on call”
