About The Position

Position Summary: This person will be responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department, as well as financial record keeping. This person will handle accounts payable duties and assist accounting personnel. Duties and Responsibilities: This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned. · Create and maintain accounts payable for multiple companies · Verification of vendor invoices, including matching to purchase orders and receivers · Working with purchasing department to resolve pricing discrepancies · G/L coding of invoices · Review of employee expense reports for accuracy and company policy compliance · Obtain management approvals when needed or applicable · Check runs · Compile monthly disbursement report · Reconcile vendor monthly statements and handle vendor inquiries · Maintain A/P vendor files Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Minimum Qualifications: Requires 2-year degree or 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, fractions, and percentages. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Maintains a valid Driver’s License. Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork. Equipment Used : Telephones, computer, printers and other office equipment as needed. Special/ Additional Requirements : Persons in this position may be required to pass a drug, alcohol, and/or criminal background check.

Requirements

  • Requires 2-year degree or 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable.
