About The Position

We’re hiring an Accounting Operations Manager to own order-to-cash operations, RMA workflows, and close support. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of Accounting, Sales, and Operations, focused on making sure customer orders and returns are accurate, compliant, and cleanly reflected in financial reporting. You’ll be close to the details. You’ll run core processes day to day while also helping design systems and controls that scale as Etched grows. This role is well-suited for someone who likes being in the flow of transactions, understands how operations hit the GL, and wants real ownership.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or order management
• Strong understanding of order-to-cash processes and related accounting requirements
• Experience with RMAs; hardware or manufacturing exposure is a plus
• Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite or similar)
• Comfortable preparing journal entries and supporting close
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in fast-moving environments
• Builder mindset: scrappy, resourceful, and excited to create structure where it doesn’t yet exist

Responsibilities

• Own customer invoicing and billing end to end
• Manage customer billing portals (invoice uploads, reconciliations, issue resolution)
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across billing and collections
• Manage order entry, validation, and financial accuracy of customer orders
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and the factory team to move orders from booking to billing
• Maintain clean, accurate order data for reporting and month-end close
• Record and reconcile RMAs in the ERP system
• Ensure proper accounting treatment for returns, credits, and replacements
• Build and document ERP workflows and guidance for RMAs
• Report on RMA financial impact for Finance and Accounting leadership
• Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting tied to orders and RMAs
• Support variance analysis and ensure proper revenue and expense cut-off
• Partner with the Accounting team to deliver a timely, accurate monthly close
• Support ad-hoc Finance and Accounting projects (systems, automation, compliance)
• Help design scalable processes and internal controls for rapid growth
