AOT Technical Apprentice IV - Bituminous Concrete Unit
About The Position
The Agency of Transportation (AOT) has an exciting opportunity in the Construction & Materials Bureau for an independent thinking, problem solving person. The Bituminous Concrete Unit's Field Group is seeking two Technical Apprentices to join their team. The Field Group is responsible for the application of Quality Assurance at HMA producer facilities and at the Agency's central laboratory in Berlin. This work includes conducting materials acceptance sampling and testing, oversite and review of Quality Control testing and results, and inspection of HMA production facilities and laboratories. This work in performed at a variety of locations throughout Vermont and our neighboring states, and comes with a high degree of independence when conducting field work. It is anticipated that these positions will work approximately 40 hours per week for the construction season.
Requirements
- Two (2) or more years of college coursework in engineering, construction management, or related field.
- Three (3) or more years of work experience in civil, construction, or environmental engineering, or related field.
- A current, valid driver’s license is required, and transportation may be required for field assignments.
