About The Position

The Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Parts Specialist to support the northeast region of the AOT Fleet at our Saint Johnsbury location. This position is responsible for managing stockrooms and maintaining accurate inventory of parts, materials, and supplies used in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and tools. Key responsibilities include ordering, receiving, and issuing parts in compliance with Bulletin 3.5, as well as maintaining a computerized inventory system. The Parts Specialist also plays a key role in facility safety by ensuring up-to-date SDS sheets are on hand and conducting routine inspections of fire extinguishers. This role may involve operating equipment such as forklifts and front-end loaders, and includes providing training and guidance to other Agency staff. This position is eligible for a sign-on and retention bonus of up to $2000 for newly hired CDL and non-CDL holders who are hired into permanent maintenance worker or mechanic job on or after July 13, 2025.

Requirements

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in inventory, or in automotive maintenance
  • A current valid driver's license is required
