About The Position

The Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Parts Specialist to support the northeast region of the AOT Fleet at our Saint Johnsbury location. This position is responsible for managing stockrooms and maintaining accurate inventory of parts, materials, and supplies used in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and tools. The Parts Specialist also plays a key role in facility safety by ensuring up-to-date SDS sheets are on hand and conducting routine inspections of fire extinguishers. This role may involve operating equipment such as forklifts and front-end loaders, and includes providing training and guidance to other Agency staff.

Requirements

Two (2) or more years of experience in inventory, or in automotive maintenance
A current valid driver's license is required

Responsibilities

Managing stockrooms
Maintaining accurate inventory of parts, materials, and supplies used in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and tools
Ordering parts in compliance with Bulletin 3.5
Receiving parts in compliance with Bulletin 3.5
Issuing parts in compliance with Bulletin 3.5
Maintaining a computerized inventory system
Ensuring up-to-date SDS sheets are on hand for facility safety
Conducting routine inspections of fire extinguishers
Operating equipment such as forklifts and front-end loaders
Providing training and guidance to other Agency staff
