Join our Antitrust Group as a Senior Paralegal located in our Washington, D.C. office. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized paralegal to join our Antitrust Group. The role will support both antitrust aspects of transactional work as well as investigation and litigation matters. Familiarity with antitrust matters and HSR Act filings, is a plus but not necessary. The ideal candidate will be able to learn and apply new skills, work independently to manage and prioritize matters under oversight of group attorneys, and have flexibility to meet deadlines on fast-paced transactional work. You will work closely with attorneys and team members on complex antitrust matters, providing critical support for regulatory filings, case management, document review, research, and litigation filings. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-focused mindset are essential for success in this role. Position Summary The Antitrust Paralegal will provide support to attorneys in the Antitrust Group by assisting with all aspects of antitrust transactional work, including factual research and case preparation, regulatory filings—including Hart-Scott-Rodino Act (HSR) filings, and document review. The Antitrust Paralegal also will support antitrust investigations and litigation matters, including factual research, managing case files, maintaining databases, and coordinating document productions and filings. Candidate should have flexibility to work periodically outside normal hours (including remote overtime) as needed.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a paralegal, with at least 1 year in antitrust, complex litigation, or regulatory investigations preferred.
  • Experience working in a law firm or legal department environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Experience with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Familiarity with litigation support software and document management systems (e.g., Relativity, Concordance, iManage) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with antitrust matters and HSR Act filings, is a plus but not necessary.
  • Experience preparing and filing Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Notification and Report Forms is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists attorneys with all aspects of transactional antitrust matters as well as antitrust government investigations and litigation.
  • Conducts factual and legal research, including gathering information from public records, government agencies, and online databases.
  • Analyzes data room materials, manages information requests in support of merger control filings (including HSR filings and foreign filings), and prepare HSR filings.
  • Supports antitrust transaction matters in investigation stages, including by organizing and preparing information in response to voluntary information requests and Second Requests.
  • Manages and organizes large volumes of documents and data, including e-discovery tasks, document review, and preparation of privilege logs.
  • Coordinates and manages case files, calendars, and deadlines.
  • Assists with the preparation and submission of filings to courts and government agencies.
  • Supports attorneys in preparing for government presentations, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Communicates effectively with clients, experts, and internal teams.
