Our AmLaw 100 client is growing its Antitrust, Consumer Protection & Unfair Competition group and is seeking a midlevel associate who wants a serious antitrust career, not just a supporting role. This is a nationally recognized practice that handles complex antitrust litigation, investigations, and merger review work for major technology, consumer, and industrial clients across the United States and globally. The firm is consistently ranked among the top U.S. law firms by Chambers USA and has been featured on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list for over two decades, reflecting a long-standing investment in culture and retention. Role Summary You will join a busy, integrated antitrust team that works across offices and industries. Representative work includes: Antitrust litigation in federal and state courts, including class actions and competitor suits. Government investigations and agency advocacy before the DOJ and FTC. Counseling on pricing, distribution, joint ventures, and other day-to-day competition issues. Merger HSR analysis and Second Request support for strategic transactions. Opportunities to work on matters at the intersection of technology and antitrust, including digital markets and platform conduct. Midlevel associates have workstreams, take ownership of written advocacy, and work directly with partners and clients. Why This Role Serious antitrust platform: The antitrust practice is Chambers-ranked and led by respected trial and agency-facing partners, including practitioners recognized individually for antitrust litigation and merger work. Work seamlessly with colleagues in Seattle, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Chicago, and Washington, DC on matters. Government-side experience in the group: The team includes former DOJ and FTC lawyers, which gives associates exposure to enforcement-side thinking and sophisticated agency strategy. Structured development: Midlevel associates participate in a dedicated Mid-Level Associate Academy, practice-specific training, and a formal mentoring program designed to give concrete feedback and help build a path to partnership or in-house roles. Hybrid work environment, comprehensive health coverage, 401(k), parental and personal leave, and a market-competitive compensation range of approximately $260,000 to $365,000, depending on experience and location. If you are a midlevel antitrust associate who wants more responsibility, better training, and a national platform while still working with people you actually like talking to, this is worth a conversation.
