Antenna System Engineer

Viasat, Inc.
1dOnsite

About The Position

You will be responsible for managing and allocating the antenna system requirements for Viasat’s commercial terminal antenna systems including aviation, maritime, residential, etc. over the life cycle of the product. These antennas will span frequency ranges from L-band to Ka-band and optimize different technologies, such as phased array antennas, for the desired opportunity. You will work with various fields to identify the efficient antenna system solution that aligns with market requirements such as schedule, cost, performance, and reliability. The day-to-day Understand the allocation of requirements of the different LRU’s, within a given antenna system, and optimize for the desired performance Support the engineering design, development and sustaining activities for Viasat commercial terminal antenna systems. Collaborate with other engineering fields during the integration and test activities at the terminal assembly level. Ensure regulatory compliance for all commercial terminal antenna systems Acknowledged as an authority in the technical field for finding opportunities with external antenna providers Stay informed about antenna system innovations to position Viasat to apply groundbreaking technology
