About The Position

Hilltop Securities Insurance Agency (HSIA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilltop Securities Inc., provides annuities, life insurance, long-term care, and disability income insurance products for distribution through Hilltop Securities’ Private Client Group and Momentum Independent Network. We are seeking an Annuity Planning Consultant, and this position is located in the Dallas home office.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of annuity experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Series 6 or 7 and Series 65 or 66 life insurance license required
  • Strong client service skills and interpersonal skills (communicative and outgoing), including the abilities to elicit information, actively listen, and clearly communicate
  • Must be able to provide complete and concise explanations of products to financial professionals and clients.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization skills, follow through skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong computer skills required with experience in Microsoft Office and CRM tools including Salesforce and Redtail.
  • Previous experience making sales presentations to small groups.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Some travel will be required for visits to Financial Professionals, client appointments and training

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Firelight, iCapital, Envestnet, MoneyGuidePro and RedTail a plus

Responsibilities

  • Proactively work with financial professionals and Hilltop Securities Financial Planning Consultants across all channels to support their efforts incorporating the use of commission and fee-based annuity products into their practices.
  • Serve as an annuity subject matter expert for the insurance department.
  • Assist with all aspects of solution design, including financial planning, product selection, proposal generation, and support closing the opportunity.
  • Act as a consultant to financial professionals comparing options between annuities and other investment solutions to meet specific client needs.
  • Participate in conference calls or appointments with financial professionals and clients.
  • Schedule and participate in webinars, educational events and marketing activities
