About The Position

The Annual Giving and Events Specialist is responsible for supporting the advancement of Bozeman Health Foundation’s mission by leading and growing the annual fund including events, mailings, and stewardship activities associated with pipeline development throughout the service area. Tracks metrics on donor acquisition, retention, and other KPI measures according to industry best practices. Works in close collaboration with Foundation team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree business, communications, marketing or a related field
  • Three (3) years of non-profit fundraising experience with an emphasis on annual giving
  • Event planning experience
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
  • Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality
  • Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment
  • Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE)
  • Professional education coursework completed in the development field
  • Healthcare experience and a working knowledge of the region

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate annual Hospitality auction along with donor stewardship events and special activities
  • Implement annual employee campaign.
  • Organize and coordinate internal employee engagement activities and events.
  • Participate in appropriate employee committees and groups.
  • Support execution of Grateful Patient program in collaboration with appropriate team members.
  • Design and implement annual giving society, emphasizing donor acquisition and retention.
  • Manage third-party events as applicable.
  • Plan, write, and execute digital and direct mail solicitation program in collaboration with team members.
  • Conduct cultivation and stewardship events according to industry best practices.
  • Volunteer in meaningful ways to benefit the community including internal and external event attendance.
  • Develop strong relationships with Health System team members in support of the Foundation’s mission.
  • Lead, teach, inspire, help, and consistently demonstrate hospital behavioral standards.
  • Manages a portfolio of prospective donors.
