About The Position

The Annual Fund and Stewardship Manager leads the strategy, execution, and growth of El Pasoans Fighting Hunger’s Annual Fund program, which generates essential unrestricted revenue to support the organization’s mission and operations. This position manages donor acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies for individual donors contributing up to $4999 annually while building a strong pipeline that transitions supporters into mid-level and major giving opportunities. The role combines strategic planning, donor relationship management, storytelling, and data analysis to grow the organization’s annual giving program and ensure an outstanding donor experience. Working closely with the Chief Development Officer and development team, the Annual Fund and Stewardship Manager oversees integrated fundraising campaigns, stewardship initiatives, and engagement strategies that deepen relationships and strengthen long-term community investment in El Pasoans Fighting Hunger.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, sales, customer relationship management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing donor relationships, client relationships, or fundraising campaigns.
  • Experience working with CRM or donor database systems, preferably Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Unquestionable character and a genuine commitment to serving this community.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel, and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Annual Fund Strategy & Campaign Management Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fund strategy in collaboration with the Director of Brand Management that increases donor participation, improves retention, and grows annual giving revenue. Assists with integrated fundraising campaigns across multiple channels including direct mail, email, digital platforms, SMS outreach, and social media in collaboration with the Director of Brand Management. Plan and execute annual fundraising appeals and giving campaigns aligned with the organization’s strategic development goals. Serve as the annual fund lead for key fundraising initiatives including El Paso Giving Day, Giving Tuesday, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger’s annual Gala, and the End of Year campaign.
  • Data Analytics & Performance Optimization In collaboration with Data Manager, monitor and analyze campaign performance using key fundraising metrics such as donor retention rate, average gift size, donor lifetime value, and cost per dollar raised. Use performance data to refine strategies and identify opportunities for growth. Develop reports that support data-driven fundraising decisions
  • Donor Pipeline & Segmentation Manage the donor pipeline for supporters giving from $1 and $4,999 annually. Implement donor segmentation strategies including new donors, renewing donors, lapsed donors, recurring donors, and mid-level donors. Identify donors with potential to grow their giving and collaborate with development leadership to transition prospects into major gift cultivation.
  • Midlevel & Recurring Giving Programs Develop and steward a small and mid-level donor program focused on individuals giving between $1 and $4,999 annually. Expand and steward the organization’s recurring giving program to create consistent and predictable revenue. Develop messaging and campaigns that encourage donors to become sustaining monthly supporters. Monitor engagement and retention among recurring donors to strengthen long-term relationships.
  • Donor Stewardship & Engagement Lead the organization’s annual donor stewardship program to ensure donors feel appreciated, informed, and connected to the mission. Implement timely and meaningful donor acknowledgments including personalized thank-you communications and impact updates. Develop stewardship initiatives such as donor appreciation events, recognition opportunities, and annual impact communications. Coordinate donor engagement opportunities including tours, check presentations, and donor appreciation gatherings.
  • Community & Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Manage third-party and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives including community fundraisers, grassroots campaigns, and individual fundraising events. Provide guidance and support to community members, businesses, and organizations interested in hosting fundraisers benefiting El Pasoans Fighting Hunger.
  • Corporate & Workplace Giving Support workplace giving campaigns and corporate employee engagement initiatives. Promote participation in employer matching gift programs and workplace giving platforms.
  • Content, Storytelling & Communications Collaboration Collaborate with program and communications teams to identify stories, program outcomes, and impact data that demonstrate the value of donor support. Help develop fundraising communications that highlight the real-world impact of donations.
  • CRM, Gift Processing & Data Integrity Utilize Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge to manage donor records, track engagement, and monitor fundraising performance. Work closely with the Development Data Manager to ensure accurate gift processing, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & External Representation Work collaboratively with development, programs, marketing, and leadership teams to support fundraising initiatives and organizational goals. Represent El Pasoans Fighting Hunger at donor meetings, community events, fundraising activities, and public engagements. Support the overall mission and values of El Pasoans Fighting Hunger in all donor and community interactions. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
