The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Rides and Revenue Host, you will perform various tasks related to the safe operation Zoo Rides and Attractions. You will perform ticket sales, cleaning, and cash handling responsibilities, attractions host has constant direct guest interaction and consistently exhibits awesome guest service. As a Rides & Revenue Host, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people in San Antonio. Here, you will make an impact by: Approach each guest with an authentic greeting within 60 seconds of entering your location area. After every guest interaction, thank them and be sure every guest leaves satisfied with their experience. Ensure completion of opening and closing cleaning procedures for all rides & encounters. Perform accurate sales, with attention to detail regarding any cash handling and credit card transactions. Give correct pricing, guidelines and safety instruction for all rides, attractions and encounters. Ensure areas of rides and encounters which include the sitting, loading, and surrounding areas are clear of any trash or debris. Report any unsafe conditions to proper staff. Monitor rider safety and take necessary measures to ensure a rider's behavior does not endanger themselves, zoo employees, or other passengers. If necessary, perform daily safety runs or test shows of rides and attractions before opening to guests. Ensure each guest meets rider height/age safety requirements. Assist our guests with mobility issues with getting on and off the rides. Notate all opening and closing pre-operations and safety logs for each ride daily. Cross-train as a cashier and operator for all Revenue Stations. Upholds all company policies and standard operating procedures. Consistently exhibit a positive attitude of helpful service inside and outside of the zoo, showing hospitality to all. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Six (6) months in a theme park or hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Six (6) months of cash register/cash-handling experience in a retail operation is preferred.
  • Six (6) months customer services industry is preferred.
  • Ability to relate effectively with the public, especially young children and older adults.
  • Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment National Sex Offender Search, Criminal Background Check, and Drug Screen.
