Texas Biomed is searching for an Animal Caretaker in the Chimp Group. This role involves providing daily care for chimpanzees, including watering, feeding, and daily cleaning of cages. The successful candidate will be responsible for washing down and moving cages, performing daily health checks on animals, and sanitizing cages using various detergents and portable power washers. Additionally, the position requires providing all other aspects of primate husbandry, such as recording data, assisting Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians in health care, and contributing to the environmental enrichment program. The candidate must be able to work effectively both as a team member and independently.
