Job Description Join Our Team as an Animal Care Technician! Do you have a passion for animals and a desire to make a real difference in their lives? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Animal Care Technician to join our team and help provide exceptional care for animals in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act (AWA). Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 6 months of animal care experience—can include professional, volunteer, farm, or personal business experience
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and restraining animals safely
Ability to safely follow safety protocols and established safety standards
Passion for working with animals and socializing them in a positive, off-leash environment
Capability to assess animal health and provide proper care
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks as needed

Nice To Haves

Experience working with large groups of animals is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide love, care, and attention to all animals, ensuring they are treated with the respect they deserve.
Prepare and serve meals, conduct feeding trials, and ensure animals always have access to fresh water.
Keep animal enclosures clean and odor-free, while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Help socialize, exercise, and provide olfactory/natural enrichment for dogs and cats.
Observe and report animal behaviors, health conditions, and report any concerns to the appropriate team members.
Accurately record animal information, complete necessary visual management charts, and contribute to daily huddles.
Assist with animal introductions, manage supplies, and help with the acquisition of new animals as needed.
