About The Position
Provides operational and animal-handling support for Medical / Veterinary Services by assisting with animal transport, restraint, sanitation, and supply movement to maintain safe and efficient clinical workflow.
Requirements
- Ability to safely handle animals of varying sizes/temperaments
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to lift/carry animals and equipment
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, and animal-related conditions
Responsibilities
- Animal Handling & Transport
- Safely move animals between kennels, treatment, and surgery
- Assist with animal restraint as directed by veterinary staff
- Follow all animal safety and handling protocols
- Medical Support
- Prepare animals for exams and procedures
- Monitor for visible distress and report concerns
- Cleaning & Sanitation
- Clean and disinfect cages, carriers, and work areas
- Follow infection-control and biosecurity protocols
- Supplies & Logistics
- Restock supplies and transport materials/equipment
- Maintain organization of medical areas
