Position Summary The Angio Suite Manager or Director is a key clinical leader responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Angio Suite and ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role manages both clinical and clerical staff, coordinates patient flow across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative stages, and ensures that all activities align with Federal, State, AAAHC, CMS, and Life Safety regulations. The Angio Suite Manager or Director also oversees the purchasing and procurement program, including supplies, equipment, and controlled substances. This individual plays a central role in staff leadership, onboarding, training, evaluations, and performance management to ensure a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Current California RN license in good standing
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • BSN required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of ambulatory surgery experience as a Registered Nurse
  • At least one (1) year of administrative or management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of: AAAHC accreditation standards CMS regulations Life Safety Code requirements Regulatory survey processes for Ambulatory Surgery Centers
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative clinical team

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in vascular, interventional radiology, or cath/angio suite settings
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems
  • Training in sterile processing or infection control practices

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinical activities in the Angio Suite, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care.
  • Ensure high-quality, compassionate, and efficient patient care aligned with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to optimize workflow, scheduling, and patient throughput.
  • Monitor patient safety, infection control practices, and adherence to evidence-based protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with AAAHC, CMS, the State of California, the Life Safety Code, and all applicable regulations.
  • Prepare the Angio Suite and staff for accreditation surveys and audits.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and documentation required for regulatory readiness.
  • Supervise clinical and clerical staff, including assigning workload, evaluating performance, and providing coaching.
  • Lead staff onboarding, education, training, and ongoing development.
  • Address performance issues in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment.
  • Oversee procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and controlled substances.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to support daily procedures and emergency readiness.
  • Coordinate with vendors, supply chain staff, and administrative teams as needed.
  • Monitor and report clinical quality indicators; lead initiatives to improve patient outcomes and workflow.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Support the development and implementation of clinical policies, safety plans, and process improvements.
