About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. Practice an expanded Anesthesia Care model, taking a leadership role in navigating perioperative process, in close and friendly collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff. Our Department is armed with all required modern equipment for the safest practice of Anesthesia, including Video-Laryngoscopy, 2 SonoSite Ultrasound Machines for Vascular Cannulation and Regional Anesthesia, 2 Ambu FOB Systems with disposal scopes used in Thoracic Anesthesia and Difficult Airway management, FloTrack System for intraoperative hemodynamic management, AccuView vein finding system, etc. Skill in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia is a plus! Recent Graduates with experience covering anesthesia call for obstetrics are welcome, with mandatory Board Certification within 5 years. Flexible schedule available within evening, weekend, and holiday hours.

Requirements

Active or eligible for a NYS License
Board eligible or certified in Anesthesiology
Experience working with an under-served patient population preferred

Nice To Haves

Skill in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia is a plus!
Recent Graduates with experience covering anesthesia call for obstetrics are welcome, with mandatory Board Certification within 5 years.

Practice an expanded Anesthesia Care model, taking a leadership role in navigating perioperative process, in close and friendly collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $421,000 (board eligible); $431,000 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
