JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Anesthesiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Eureka, CA Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Period: Jul 7, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7a–4p 1 month on/1 month off or 2 weeks on/2 weeks off Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 8 % of Practice: 99% Adult; 1% Pediatric FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Reason for Coverage: Supplemental No. of OR: 4 Support Staffs: 12 RNs, 6 Techs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: General Anesthesia Ventilation management Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Active CA License
- Active CA DEA
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia coverage for outpatient surgical cases.
- Manage general anesthesia and ventilation for adult patients.
- Perform evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Epic EMR system.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Responsible for preparing the cart.
