This position is for an Anesthesia Technologist at Fox Chase Cancer Center, a national leader in cancer treatment, research, and prevention for over 100 years. The role involves assisting all anesthesiology patient-care providers by managing supplies, equipment, and medications, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient and safe patient care in operating rooms and procedural areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years experience utilizing sterilization techniques in an operating room environment
  • Basic Life Support

Nice To Haves

  • Trade School Surgical Technician Program
  • 1 year experience and knowledge of anesthesia-related equipment and supplies
  • Amer Society Anesthesia Tech

Responsibilities

  • Assists all anesthesiology patient-care providers by performing duties such as: daily stocking of anesthesia supplies and non-controlled medications; sterilization of equipment; removal of all used supplies, equipment and medications; cleaning of all equipment; and, removal of all outdated supplies and non-controlled medications.
  • Provide support in all locations serviced by the Anesthesiology Department.
  • Works with all colleagues (anesthesiology, OR, EVS) to ensure that all equipment is clean, tested and functional to provide a safe and efficient patient care system.
  • Works with all colleagues (anesthesiology, OR, EVS) to ensure that all ORs and procedural areas are reducing turnover time and achieving an efficient schedule.
