Tangram Interiors: Join the Family Summary of Role The Ancillary Specialist collaborates with Tangram’s sales and design teams by developing tailored ancillary product presentations and specifications that align with project aesthetics, budgets, and timelines. This role prepares professional proposals, assists with CET drawings, audits documents for accuracy, and contributes to marketing efforts while ensuring pricing alignment and profitability compliance. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams and vendors to request samples, obtain pricing, discount details, and verify lead times.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • AutoCAD, CET Designer, and Hedberg software preferred.
  • Familiarity with interior design and contract furniture industry concepts.
  • Strong command of English language, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Provide high-level customer service to meet organizational sales goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with various company departments including Customer Service, Sales, Design, Project Management,
  • Marketing, and Executive Management.
  • Communicate and follow up efficiently with both internal peers and external clients.
  • Exhibit attention to detail and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize time management skills to enhance support staff efficiency.
  • Read, comprehend, and write professional correspondence.
  • Perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Present information effectively in small group or one-on-one settings.
  • Must possess a California Class C Driver’s License.
  • Communicate orally in face-to-face, one-on-one, and group settings.
  • Regular use of telephone, Microsoft Teams, and email for communication.
  • Proficiency in operating office equipment including PC, copier, and fax machine.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and walk lengthy distances at job or customer sites.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
  • Knowledge of commercial office furniture industry

  • Preference for candidates having either industry experience or a design degree.

Responsibilities

  • Attend customer meetings and collaborate with sales representatives to assess customer needs accurately.
  • Generate timely, high-quality ancillary product proposals and presentations that align with strategic product placement.
  • Assist with budgetary pricing, furniture demos, discounts, warranty details, and lead times for ancillary products.
  • Coordinate with vendors to confirm availability of samples, demos, and other necessary information.
  • Provide timely sourcing of ancillary product images and information for marketing collateral, internal communications, and bid proposals.
  • Partner with the Design Department by supplying ancillary product images and information for use in design drawings and renderings
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with product vendor representatives to maintain current product samples and vendor outreach.
  • Occasionally use Hedberg software for administrative changes related to pricing, project contacts, and logging ancillary hours for billing.
