Austin Industrial is currently seeking an Analyzer Technician to join our staff located at Pasadena, TX. This person must have 5+ years’ experience in troubleshooting GC's and sample systems.

Requirements

  • Proven 5 years' experience in troubleshooting GC's and troubleshooting sample systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, electro-mechanical aptitude
  • Ability and a willingness to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to work Overtime as needed
  • Ability to work at heights, lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to all policies and procedures established by Austin as well as those specific to the plant where they are assigned.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • 5+ years of experience in troubleshooting GC's and troubleshooting sample systems.
  • NCCER Instrumentation or Electrical certification is required.
  • Meet physical demands as listed above

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability of all analyzer systems.
  • Identify issues and communicate potential solutions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Review work instructions, job orders, and safety permit to carry out troubleshooting, repairs, calibrations, replacements, or overhauls of equipment.
  • Implement modifications and updates to analyzers and sampling systems, including accurate data collection.
  • Monitor sample handling systems regularly and manage gas cylinder replacements as needed.
  • Maintain and verify calibration gases to ensure analyzer accuracy.
  • Execute all tasks in compliance with established safety procedures, permit requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
