Our modern data platform is at the core of this strategy, transforming data from EMRs, billing systems, and operational tools into actionable insights. We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to own the transformation layer of our data platform, working closely with our senior data engineer who handles infrastructure and architecture. In this role, you will build and maintain the DBT models and data pipelines that power business intelligence across our organization, manage our Tableau Cloud environment, and collaborate directly with clinical, operational, and finance teams to ensure they have reliable, accessible data. This position, based out of our Denver office, is perfect for someone who enjoys the technical challenge of data modeling and pipeline development while also working directly with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs. You'll take ownership of analytics engineering workflows—from data transformation to dashboard management—while partnering with senior engineering on larger architectural initiatives. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with data, including building data models andability to write complexSQLqueries involvingjoins, aggregations, window functions, and CTEsin production environments.
  • 3 + years of experience with DBT including writing, testing, andmaintainingmodels.
  • Mid-level Tableau experience, including managing Tableau Cloud connections, published data sources, and building reports.
  • Experience monitoring data pipelines and troubleshooting data quality or transformation issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, particularly with EMR systems, billing data, or clinical operations.
  • Familiarity with AWS data services (Athena, Glue, S3, MWAA)and cloud concepts.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
  • Python experience for data tasks and pipeline development.
  • Understanding ofhealthcare data compliance requirements (HIPAA).
  • Exposure to datalakehousearchitectures.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehouse design principles.

Responsibilities

  • DBT Development: Build,maintain, andoptimizeDBT models that transform raw data from healthcare systems into clean, well-modeled datasets for analytics and reporting.
  • Tableau Management: Manage Tableau Cloud including data connections, published data sources, and collaborate with stakeholders to build andoptimizereports and dashboards.
  • Data Modeling: Design and implement data models (dimensional models, fact tables, aggregated views) that balance performance with usability for business reporting.
  • Pipeline Monitoring: Monitor data pipeline health, troubleshoot data quality issues, and ensure reliable data delivery to downstream consumers.
  • SQL Development: Write complex SQL queries to explore data,validatetransformations, build analytical views and tables, and support ad-hoc analysis requests.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with clinical operations, finance, admissions, and other departments to understand reporting requirements and translate them into data solutions.
  • Documentation & Standards: Document data transformations,maintaindata catalog, and helpestablishanalytics engineering best practices and standards.
  • Data Quality: Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and testing within DBT to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical datasets.
