Analytics Engineer This is a hybrid analytics role combining analytics engineering (approximately 75%) with applied analytics and data science (approximately 25%). The role is hands-on and project-based, supporting critical business decisions related to portfolio acquisition and long-term performance forecasting. This is not a pure reporting role and not a purely backend data engineering position. Among other responsibilities, you’ll be involved in:

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, data analytics, or similar hands-on analytics roles.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience building scalable data transformations and models.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R for analytics, automation, and modeling.
  • Experience designing datasets and understanding how data architecture impacts analytics.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous, open-ended problem spaces.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with SQL Server jobs, stored procedures, or database automation.
  • Familiarity with Git or version control systems.
  • Background in financial services, portfolio analytics, forecasting, or operations analytics.
  • Exposure to statistical or predictive modeling concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, transformations, and analytical workflows using SQL, Python and/or R.
  • Engineering new datasets and data assets when existing systems do not provide required information.
  • Developing data models to support portfolio valuation, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
  • Supporting predictive and prescriptive modeling used to forecast collections over time.
  • Automating end-to-end analytics workflows, including scheduling, orchestration, validation, and reporting.
  • Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within portfolio data.
  • Translating business questions into reliable, production-ready analytical solutions.
  • Creating reports and analytical outputs used by senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Collaborating closely with analytics, engineering, and business partners to align data logic and definitions.
